In Sherry Turkle’s “Connected, but alone?” Ted talk, she is speaking on the topic that we are so attached to technology it’s as if we don’t know what we would do without it. Another man realizes he does not want to take the time to speak to his coworkers because he is too busy checking through his email. ![]() As she speaks to other people about their technology use, some say they would love to know how to have a face to face conversation. We try to remove ourselves from certain situations and we feel as if our technology can take us places we want to go. She explains that, “our little devices in our pockets, are so psychologically powerful that they don’t only change what we do, they change who we are.” She speaks of how people are beginning to use their cell phones at inappropriate times such as: board meetings, funerals, during class, and even during breakfast and dinner.
